Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You deposit, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
